It is a lamp for 3d printers. 

Needed parts:

• a Led strip (about 39mm long and 6mm wide)
• a switch to fit in the base
• and a psu or some sort of power source (it could be the printer itsef too, but I used an external one)
• a piece of paper to put infront of the LED strip to diffuse the light 

I used a separate box to store the switch(es the other switch controls a 12cm pc fan)
