Premise
I saw this video on YT [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjsNK7sY41o ] where the guy made a wood sanding block. It was a simple design , but worth a try for the odd sized generc sanding paper set that I own. [ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NPM9B5L ].
Sanding Paper
The sanding papers are 9 x 3.6 Inch , so I designed this block in a way where we can make 4 horizontal pieces that can be installed on the block.
Print Instructions
You will have to print 1xBlock and 2xPlates. There is no need for supports. Infil can be as low as 10% (may be lower will work as well). Just add 3 top and bottom layers and 3 perimeter lines(walls ) for the block. Plate can do with 3 botom layers and couple of walls.
I printed with PETG , 0.6mm nozzle and 0.3mm layer height
Assembly
The model does need 4 M3x6mm or longer screws to hold it together.
You will also have to drill holes in the block for the screws, I didnt do it on the STL to avoid increasing the print duration and complexity for handling the holes. Even a hand drill with a 2.5mm bit can do the job.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions !
