I needed an enclosure for my VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) bought off Amazon, specifically the MySweety brand re:cheaper. I use the VFD to control the motor on my 272 belt / bench grinder and just been stuffing this in a plastic tote near by for a few months. Unable to find an enclosure for this style VFD I set out making a quick one that would fit on my printer bed of 270x200. You should try to keep a VFD away from dust debris etc. especially metal shavings as much as possible to avoid shorting the board out. This box is NOT perfect in that sense. I originally intended on added fans/filters etc so that it would be but decided against it because of the limited grinding I do and it would be mounted up on a wall higher than the grinder. The only "real" opening happens on the bottom of the box to let some venting in and grommet holes to hold power in, power out and an expansion hole I plan on using for a remote start/stop switch with a pot to control the speed near the sander.
As you can see the fit is pretty decent and should keep most larger debris out. I designed this intending to use inserts to mount the VFD and the lid to the box (which I did) and 4 separate screws in the corners to mount to the wall. After installing it though I realized if you don't use inserts you can could use the 4 VFD holes to screw to the wall and skip the corner holes.
My first attempt failed with layer shift 18 or so hours in so I also got 80% through a redesign where the box is all interlocking panels and can be assembled. If there is any interest in this let me know and I can finish it up and post it up as well.

I used 4 walls and 12% infill for my print and it feels pretty solid. With that said it's a longer print (at least for me) coming in at 22ish hours for the bottom and 3-4 for the lid.
