A decorative lamp meant to hang RGB LED strips.
There are 5 puzzle pieces.
The diamond shaped stacking lamp (as many as you want) and the triangular base.
The pieces scale to any width. You may want the base wider than the top.
I printed at 95% = 205mm X-Y and 90mm tall. I printed the base at 160mm high
There is a 34mm pipe / hole the full height of the lamp for a light strip.
Rather than use the base, I preferred to hang the lamp on the wall with a white Velcro strap.
Puzzle 2 is thicker and more square. It looks good but uses more filament and is not translucent.
Thin Puzzle 6 - is a curvier model with the walls changed from 10mm to 2mm.
The 2mm thinness lets light glow thru the sides.
I made a 5th part - 'Diamond Peg' to space the lamp from the wall to let light escape out the back.
Peg 18 has a 18mm diameter + 20mm peg tall with a 10mm space.
An 8 hour print. Per section. 60+ hours for a 5' to 6' tall lamp. A whole 1 kg reel of filament.
It cost me about $50 for filament and LED lights.
Each section is 223mm - 8.77 inches high - center to center. . . when assembled.
Seven diamonds plus the triangle base is about 5 feet - 60 in - 1524mm tall.
I was able to use a 5 meter strip of LEDs, looped to form 4 vertical lights.
I used a Monster Neon light strip. It has a blurring diffuse cover over the LEDs, so I don't see each light.
I like to use White Marble (white with black pepper flakes) as my default filament.
I plan to print the base in Silk Gold.
This lamp would be cool if printed in White Silk, Transparent, Translucent, Silver or Sparkle filament.
I don't recommend using colored filament. The RGB LEDs will do the color.
