Tail pivot system with built in landing gear for a Tricopter. Mounts to a 13mm wood boom.
Made for and Inspired by the Batbone from Flitetest.com. This is a functioning prototype. Open to suggestions or changes.

Extended servo rod mount to better line up servo rod hinge point with main hinge. Also widened rod mount to allow more clearance from rod to boom.
Instructions
PLA, 200 micron 10-35% fill.
Made for "NTM Prop Drive Series 28-26A 1200kv / 250w" motor from hobbyking but can be modded for other motors.
2mm "music wire" used as a pivot shaft.
1mm "music wire" for servo connection.
M3 x 20mm hex bolt to prevent the pivot from slideing off the boom but a hole drilled in the boom with a zip tie or 2 can be used.
Fits up to 13mm wide, 26mm long servos.
Such as:
BMS-385DMAX Digital Servo (Metal Gear) 4.2kg / .15sec / 16.5g
or
TGY-375DMG Metal gear Digital Servo w/ Heat Sink 2.3kg / .11sec / 11.5g

Servo is mounted with 2 zip ties
Smaller servos may need a small cardboard spacer to give it a snug fit between the landing gear.
Lexan sheet (2.4X85X25mm) used to bolt the motor to, to reduce issues with warm motors melting the PLA. Something other then lexan could be used such as aluminium or wood. Or if your motors run cool you could try and bolt it directly to the PLA after modding the holes.
To make it easier to line up all the holes on the lexan I included a hole jig.
Lexan Holes:
Rectangle holes=3mm for zip ties
Center of the 5 holes=8mm. big hole to clear C-clip on the motor shaft.
The 4 outer of the 5 holes=3mm for motor mount screws
