My son likes to bash his upgraded electric Redcat Volcano into things. The original bumper wasn't up to the task, so I redesigned it with more "cushioning" built in. Once I got the details dialed in he's been using the same bumper now for almost a year, I'm going to call it a success. It should really be printed in nylon for strength and flexibility.

This one took a few tries to print with nylon to get it to stick to the bed since I really wanted it printed minimal supports and no raft. If you try it with with a raft and it works better for you please let me know. I recommend only allowing supports if they contact the bed in the slicer, otherwise the two small screw holes in the end will get jammed up with nylon, and it probably won't be easy to drill out. 100% infill is recommended as well, or just increase perimeters to a point that you get the same result. Print it flat with the rounded ends up. These ends will be the weakest and most stressed part of the bumper, so make sure the layer adhesion here is very good.
