I wanted a boot/base that was soft as opposed to the commercially made ones that are mostly made of a hard plastic. This one is designed to fit snugly on a Catalina aluminum 80, 63 or 53 cu. ft. cylinder. All of which have a 7.25" in. dia.(184.2mm) flat base. It has ribbing around the perimeter and in the base to allow water to easily drain out.
