Instead of a base with stairs, I decided to remove the stairs using TinkerCad to make stand compact. I used a 5% gyroid infill to save filament and print time. The base is still strong and does not tip over from the weight of the echo dot. Some minor sanding of the gate supports are required for fitting. The parts will then slip in and not wobble. No gluing required. Looks very nice when Alexa makes an announcement. 

The original files for the stargate and clip are added for convenience and are not remixed by me, just the base mount. 

Use of supports from bed should be used on the clip, depending on how well a overhang is handled.
