This holder is for drill bits with hexagonal shafts. Unlike "ordinary" drill bits, these drills all have the same size shaft at the drill chuck end. I'm using it for drill bits, but it can be used to store hex screwdriver bits and similar items.

Features:

• The well diameters are deep enough to hold these longer items, and are intentionally "loose" to make insertion and removal easy.
• To further ease insertion, the well tops are chamfered.
• Different row heights (angles top) for better access
• Wells are open at the bottom for easier cleaning.

Note: This is not recommended for short bits with shafts less than 1/2in (15mm) as the wells are too deep and they are difficult to remove (see photos). Also note in the photos I have included a photo of a test print to show the internal profile.

To print with no supports, print top down as shown in the photos.

Print settings:

• Set all fills to concentric
• brim not required
• %fill is not relevant as the walls are only 3 layers deep using a 0.4mm nozzle.
