After placing my Prusa i3 Mk3S Bear Upgrade in an enclosure I realised it would be better to remove the power supply unit (PSU) and place it outside the enclosure to improve cooling.

I searched for a replacement brace but the Bear Upgrade uses a 2040 extrusion for the z-axis frame and I couldn't find one that was suitable so I decided to create one from scratch. This one is a 200 x 100 mm 90 degree brace with a thickness of 20 mm in order to match one half of the 20 x 40 mm extrusion. It could be used for other applications as well.

For the Bear 2040 extrusions you will require three M5 x 10 mm bolts and three drop in M5 tee-nuts. I used M5 hexagon flat head screws that I had left over from the Bear upgrade.

For the print I used three perimeter layers and set the top and bottom to six layers for a little extra strength.

I printed with PETG because it is slightly stronger and able to operate in a warmer environment. I have also included a file for PLA if that's what you would prefer.
