Summary
A movie theater in your pocket.
I got this Microvison laser projector from Woot years ago, but didn't use it much. To make it more useful I made a custom bracket to hold it and the 30pin iPhone that drives it on a tripod mount.

How I Designed This
Designed in OpenSCAD
I took some measurements with a digital calipers and built it up in OpenSCAD. I used a fudge factor when differencing polyhedron to avoid zero-width faces/
The space for the tripod nut was too tight for me to get the nut in by hand, but I could easily press it in by firm pressure on the nut with a hot soldering iron. But, then it fell right out again. A little superglue holds the nut in nice and firm.
Although the projector looks a bit dim in the photo, it's nice and visible in a darkened room.
