Print using a filament that is more resistant to creep over time, like PETG or Nylon. PLA definitely creeps and does not maintain its shape, so the clip will get wider over time and eventually no longer grip and become a projectile. You could add some adhesive to prevent it from flying off the fan blade once you determine the proper location.

Follow online instructions and only install on the trailing side of the fan blade so it is less likely to become a projectile. Use at your own risk.
