When pegs are hard to turn you can always count on a tool like this to give you some extra leverage.

Check the size on the image, if your peg is larger just divide the measurements and set that scale in your slicer. For example, if your peg is 25mm long, you can divide it by 22.5 and it should give you the scale at which you should print it.
