Mini Assembly Bicycle
I. Design Inspiration
A minimalist, hollowed-out mini bicycle as a creative decorative piece. Its split-frame design is paired with three-spoke, hollow wheels, and the wheel assembly is completed using M2-standard screws, faithfully recreating the bicycle’s clean, streamlined silhouette. It serves both as a desktop ornament and an educational tool for hands-on assembly, featuring a simple structure that’s easy to print—perfect for beginners new to 3D printing or crafting small, creative desk accessories.
II. 3D Printing Process
Both the frame and wheels are printed using PLA filament. The entire model features fully rounded corners with no sharp edges, while its hollowed-out structure helps conserve material. The wheel axle holes are designed with a 0.1 mm clearance to accommodate M2 screws, avoiding large overhanging surfaces and requiring only minimal support at the base of each wheel. After printing, no additional hole enlargement is needed, ensuring smooth screw tightening without jamming.
III. Structure and Function
With a modular, assembleable design, the front and rear wheels are secured by two M2 screws, allowing them to roll freely. The hollow frame adopts a lightweight design, complemented by an arc-shaped, realistic seat that enhances the overall aesthetic fidelity. With its compact and refined dimensions, this piece can function either as a decorative desktop item or as a miniature training model for mechanical assembly exercises.
