I have spent a lot of time programming the geometry of the gears to achieve the correct tooth profile. It is not just involute gears. The geometry is designed in such a way that it resembles how gear hobbing works. This makes it possible to obtain the correct shape of the tooth root, including fillets and undercut, even for gears with a small number of teeth.
