This Mouse feeder is custom designed to fit standard cages designed to hold 5 mice. It can carry the irradiated (sterilized) food pellets as well as a drinking bowl for water or KMR mix for example. Its size also provides mice a more interactive environment to climb on. The 8mm opening between the printed grating allows for easy access to food with less chance of dirtying the cage.

As an additional precautionary step for closing the lid, a thin slot is printed to thread through copper wiring ties.

CLEANING procedure:
The whole feeder should be cleaned with a detergent (e.g., soapy water or quarticide,etc.) then immersion in a sterilizing solution (e.g., Clidox, Virox, etc.) for 5min. It is recommended to clean the drinking bowl more frequently (e.g., between refills).

Make sure to print the lid as a separate part, flat side facing down on the bed. Supports are not really necessary; equal amount of post-processing would be necessary either way.

Some post-processing is needed just to remove the bridging artifacts from the lid (can be avoided with supports, but it should not be problematic either way.
