The room is usually pretty dark when I'm using my computer. As such, the red "status" LED on the front of the microphone seemed extraordinarily bright and harsh. This tones it down from a pinpoint laser-beam to my eyes to a dim (but actually MORE visible) glow. I went through several thicknesses until I found the one that I liked best. I used plain old basic white PLA. Friction fit.

Style points if you do it multicolor and only have white PLA where the "diffuser section" begins.

I did black and white because I think it looks pretty stock that way, but I was rocking plain white for almost a year before I made the change.  It looks brighter in the photo than it is.
