Hi, I made a version 2 which looks nicer and will be even more "splash proof".

• It's notWATERPROOF. It's "Spash Proof". If hanged outside under a roof or something, it should do the trick but not under a typhoon or hurricane ;)
• Hang it as in the picture, the plug on top. The holes for the music are angled down so water can't creep in.
• The plug hole is round and modeled for the google nest plug for the EU - I suspect it will fil other international formats - in any case, it fits North America.

You can use the 2 files from option 1, or option 2. I like the format obj better but I don't think it makes any difference.

The pattern design is not from the file. I used IdeaMaker as a slicer and you can add patterns. It's free andvery cool. Whatch Maker's Muse video on using this.

Make it 4 walls (I know, it will take longer) but the walls will be much more waterproof. Infill at 20% is fine then.

If you're using international plugs - just print the lid first (fast) and check if it fits!

You need to use support -zigzag is fine and can be 20% or something - the inside doesn't need to be nice. So you don't care after when removing it roughly. I didn't bother to clean all bits from support left.

The whole thing took me something like 22 hours to print @ 0.32mm layer height.

Post-Printing

All very optionnal but...

Once all tested, and also setup the google home so it plays, I decided to "glue gun seal it".

• I ran slowly the glue gun to fill the gap between the lid and the case (so I glue gunned after I closed the case. I didn't trust myself to be able to close it fast enough before the glue became hard)
• I then pull gently the plug until it's flush with the lid - and covered the hole with glue, going all around to "seal the plug" as much as possible. Be careful of not making the lid ticker with a blob of glue - it might make it hard to plug it.
• I decided then to just spray a clear varnish around the whole thing just to add ever more "splash proof-ness".

Fusion 360

I added my original fusion 360 file - I struggled a bit to mix forms and body with so many curves. Enjoy remixing. I also added a .step file which I believe is the global standard for those.
