I designed this to be used with my macro pad and wanted a nice flush look to the top while also being able to differentiate the keys in a way. I did this by rotating the keycaps by 45 degrees so that the print lines from the first layer are parallel to one of the sides. Having a mix of both can help at a glance to help remind which function is which key. 

Printing: 

Make sure that the keycap top is oriented so that the top is facing the print bed. This will give you the smoothest top finish.
