Components to make a 4x4 LED matrix using 3mm LEDs. The original was used as part of a Eurorack synthesiser module (details on GitHub).

Print the matrix using transparent filament and the frame in black.

Clean up any stringing or blobs from the prints, then press the matrix into the matrix frame. The holes in the matrix should accept 3mm LEDs but may need to opened up slightly if you have any 'elephant's foot' in your prints. I painted the back of the transparent matrix with black acrylic paint after installing the LEDs to help minimise light bleed-through between the cells
