To be honest, this wasn't my idea. After seeing this tool on AliExpress, I thought it would be perfect for processing curved surfaces, so I borrowed it to try it out. The store also sold a 3D-printed model, so I had an idea and made some minor modifications to it, such as installing a screw knob I designed on the handle.
As for the assembly method, I believe many of you have already seen similar operations in my previous works. However, for those who are new to this project, I'll explain it briefly: I machined an M3 internal thread on the knob, screwed in the screw, and fixed it with quick-drying glue. This way, the connection is both strong and reliable, and the handle is durable to use. The bolt used in this handle has a countersunk design with a length of 18 mm; of course, I also used an M3×4.6×L3 nut insert.
In the link, I've compiled a variety of commonly used adhesive options for you all. Regardless of which one you choose, they can all perfectly meet the needs of various projects.
In addition, I have specially designed a storage box for three different thicknesses of sandpaper. Based on my past experience with plastic, usually two to three different grit sizes of sandpaper are enough to meet daily sanding needs. As for the assembly process of the box, I already posted a video a few days ago. In fact, the overall structure is not complicated. If needed, you can also cut out the corresponding foam lining for the box - the relevant link is also attached at the end of the text.
If you want to learn about the assembly process of the box, you can click here to watch it. But I believe you've already seen this video before:
But in this video, we mainly show the effect of using the tool itself. To be honest, although this video is not very long, the content in it can hardly be considered "useful information" :)
If you also like this tool, why not give it a thumbs-up to let me know that you love it!
