The Three Wise Buddhas
This sculpture, with its cheerful and tranquil strokes, gives a new interpretation of the classic meaning of "out of sight, out of mind". Three smiling Buddhas sit side by side, blending and merging with each other in harmony.
Although the three Buddha statues are carved from the same piece of stone and their postures are almost similar, each of them reveals a different aspect of universal wisdom.
The first Buddha statue on the leftWith his hands gently covering his eyes and a warm, profound smile on his lips, it was as if he was gazing into the depths of his soul. He guided us beyond the illusions and distractions of the surface, inspiring us to discern the true essence of life through inner awareness rather than superficial impressions.
The second Buddha in the middleHe then gently placed his hands on his lips, with a serene and gentle expression, just like a wise man who is good at mindful speech. He guards his heart with compassionate listening and illuminates life with silent wisdom. He reminds us that sometimes, the most powerful words are precisely those we choose not to speak out.
The third Buddha on the rightAlthough his ears were gently covered, he wore a happy expression, with his mouth slightly open, revealing a pure and unrestrained joy. He symbolizes a noble way of life: learning to block out the negative voices, gossip, and worldly noise from the outside world, so as to preserve inner peace and joy.
The three Buddha statues stand side by side, emitting a warm and positive energy. Their faces are round and gentle, full of warmth and humor; their robes flutter in the wind and naturally fall on their overlapping feet; each Buddha statue wears a simple beaded necklace - it is both a tribute to the spiritual essence and a deep tribute to the unity and harmony of all things.
Viewed from the back, the sculpture reveals its inner tranquility and unity even more clearly: three nearly identical figures, delicately and skillfully carved to echo each other's body language, cleverly interpret the profound connection and balance between "perception, speech, and listening". This is not just a visual shock, but also a profound and enduring metaphor: only by finding the right balance between perception, speech, and listening can we truly grasp the essence of life and reach a state of spiritual clarity.
