Backstory

After getting flour of different kinds from our local mill, I needed some tags for the flour boxes (Ikea 365). I added these also as STLs.

How to customize

I created the sign in openSCAD to keep the modification as simple as possible. The customization can be done either in the code or with the customizer.

The following settings can be changed:

• Base Settings - 1st color
  • Base height (first color)
  • Total radius of the sign
• Top Settings - 2nd color
  • Width for the outside ring (second color)
  • Height of the text and the outside ring (second color)
• Text settings
  • Size of the text (for each line)
  • Text (for each line)
  • Distance between the lines

If two lines of text are needed: Keep the second line empty and reduce the lineDistance.

If only one line of text is needed: Remove the first and thrid line of text.

Printing

Color change with Prusa Silcer is rather simple. Just remember the setting for the base height and change the color there.

I used the “concentric” option for the top layer to get a better look.

My samples are printed on a Prusa Mini, 0.4mm nozzle and PLA Vanilla White & Royal Blue.
