Symmetrical. I have thick handlebars, and a 3" OD 1/8" thick silicone o-ring was the perfect size for securing the light. Those with thinner handlebars may find 2.5" OD o-rings fit more snugly. Pictured is a Convoy S2+ with the 18350 tube.
