Summary
I designed this LED star to be used with Aluminum channel/track like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08K8N8KLW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This one is ~17.4mm wide and ~7mm high. I would suggest printing a small section of one of the corners to check for fit with whatever Aluminum channel you have then scaling accordingly. I bonded the Aluminum channel to the printed corner pieces with 5 minute epoxy.
To make it you need to print:
5 x Star Inner
5 x Star Inner Cover
1 x Star Outer Cover With Cut Out
4 x Star Outer Cover
1 x Star Outer loop and wire slot (I used this as the top piece - you can open the wire slot as require to suite your wire gauge once printed)
2 x Star Outer with Loop (I used these as the bottom 2 corners)
2 x Star Outer
I used 33 cm pieces of track and 35 cm strips of LED, I would not go too much longer than this without extra supports as I think it would become to flexible, you could easily user shorter sections of track. I sealed all the solder joints and attached the covers with hot glue.
I used these WS2811 LEDS - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254443656681 but any strip type will suffice.
