I've built this for photogrammetry.

BOM:

• 1x empty prusament spool
• 1x NEMA 17 stepper (+ whatever electronics & driver you prefer)
• 1x M3x5 screw + M3 square nut to fix the gear
• 4x M3x5 screws for the stepper motor

(The inner holes were intended to mount 16mm bearings with M5 screw + square nut but as I figured out it works without just fine.)
