Summary
This is an adaptor to help undo trangia fuel bottles without damaging them. Its designed to fit into a jerry can spanner but works well on its own too
How I Designed This
Info
This is my second design using Fusion 360, second 3D print and first upload to Thingiverse.
The problem I was looking to solve was undoing the tops of trangia fuel bottle without damaging the spouts. At Tallong OEC someone had made a 'spanner' out of wood and this was the inspiration for this solution.
I've had to learn Fusion 360 for this project and thats been interesting.
I've found my local library has a PLA 3D printer and I can access it through MakerSpace - https://www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au/Community/Library/Services/MakerSpace
The first version worked really well, far better than I hoped. I had 2 printed, the blue one had tight but great tolerances, the orange one was too tight. I have adjusted the current model for greater tolerances and added the "righty-tighty ->-> <-<- lefty-loosey" text.
