The Solder Buddy holds a 35mm x 15mm spool of solder.
You can either use commercially available spools or a self-printed one.
If you print the spool yourself, you only need to wind some solder. But this is done quickly.

Let's take a look at its features:

• Spools with an outer diameter of 35mm and an inner diameter of 10mm can be used. The thickness of the spool is 15mm.
• The solder buddy is designed for solder with a diameter of 1mm, but 2mm or more would also work, just let me know and I'll make the appropriate variations.
• The solder is pulled out a little with the fingers.
• The small button on the side can be used to hold the solder in place during soldering so that it doesn't slip in.
• The Solder Buddy lies comfortably in the hand, so the solder can be used precisely.

You can print all components yourself. All you have to do is insert a small piece of filament into the hinge and a piece to fix the button on the side.

I printed the Solder Buddy from ABS so that it can better withstand the temperatures while soldering.
