Summary
I upgraded to direct drive and wanted better support for the cable, avoiding cable damage at the connector. This is a snap-on support that works on steppers were a support is beneficial.
Install it from the back side, carefully bending the frame enough to make the snap edges pass the alu back plate. When the support passes the back plate it will "snap in" and stay in place.
If the support is used on a direct drive motor, make sure the zip tie is small enough to avoid contact with the frame when zeroing. Pre-bend the zip tie to avoid that it sticks out too much. You can also heat up the support stand a bit and bend it a few degrees forward if needed. Be careful, do it before mounting!
