This is just a quick OpenSCAD file that allows you to import the train letter .stl files from the awesome Customizable Alphabet Train by DaveMakesStuff and export a custom train.

Update: A user named rans has updated the script to allow for curved trains!

• Put the .scad file in the same folder as all the STL files from the original
• Open it with OpenSCAD
• Type the text that you want
• Render and export the combined STL file

Rendering will take a few minutes.

If you've never used OpenSCAD before, there is a very quick guide for doing so below.

The Split function in the script is from The OpenScad Useful Library by roipoussiere

1. Download OpenSCAD from here and install it - https://openscad.org/downloads.html
2. Download the .SCAD file to the folder with all the STL files and open it
3. Click WINDOW, then untick Hide Customizer
4. Optional: Click Window, then tick Hide Editor
5. Customize the settings. After changing a setting, you may need to press F5 to update the preview
6. Click Design > Render and wait for the design to render
7. Click File > Export > Export to STL
8. Save the file and slice it like any other .STL file
