The rods are slightly longer to make a stronger connection and I removed half of the screw holes. With the rotated base you can now clamp a flat box lid.

use 10mm wall thickness. Infill does not matter.
I would suggest using another color than white because FDM PLA attracts dirt and grease in its layer lines like nothing else. Just gray or black look fine.

remove supports, press the hinges together and screw it to your box.

I used 3dsmax to alter and clean up the model and rotate the base of the clamp.
