Summary
We have very hard water that contains a lot of calcium due to the limestone geology in our area. As a result, the minor splashing that occurs at the top of the otherwise beautiful Fluval Edge aquarium creates tan deposits on the top of the glass aquarium (see before photo). So I created this splash guard that fits inside the lip of the opening at the top of the aquarium. It has a cutout to accommodate the pump and power cable for a heater. You can see in the after picture how nice it keeps the top of the aquarium after I cleaned up the mess from before.
This splash guard is designed to fit the 6 gallon size Fluval Edge. ...but just to be sure they haven't change the size since I bought mine, you should measure yours. The design is completely parametric so minor adjustments will be straight forward.
I have also created a version with louvers in the top for ventilation, but I have found these to be unnecessary, so I haven't printed that version. If you're interested, let me know and I'll upload that one too.

Notes:
The Snapmaker black filament matches the original equipment nicely. The model prints stringy on my printer which I cleaned up in post. No big deal, but you do want to make sure you clean that up so it doesn't get into the tank.
