Design Concept
This model represents the fluid and unstoppable power of the ocean. Print Settings (Masterpiece Grade)
Printer: Resin (SLA/DLP) is mandatory for this model. To achieve the liquid look, you need the absolute smoothness and transparency that only resin can provide.
Layer Height: 0.03 mm - 0.05 mm. Lower layer heights are crucial here to avoid "stair-stepping" on the transparent curves, which would ruin the water effect.
Infill: 0% (Hollow). A hollow print with thin walls is best for maximum light penetration from the LED base.
Material: Clear Blue or "Aqua" Translucent Resin. If you only have clear resin, you can tint it with a few drops of alcohol-based blue ink.
Supports: High Precision. Use very thin supports for the flying droplets to minimize post-processing marks on the "liquid" surfaces.
Assembly & Finishing
The "Wet" Look: After curing, the resin might look slightly matte. Apply a high-gloss UV-resistant clear coat (spray or dip) to restore the crystal-clear, wet appearance.
Bioluminescent Glow: Use a bright cyan or electric blue ink for the eyes and chest crystals. When the light from the base hits these colored areas, they will appear to glow with internal energy.
LED Integration: Place this on a cool white LED base. The white light traveling through the blue translucent material will create beautiful caustics (light patterns) on your desk, similar to the bottom of a pool.
