This is a DIY activated carbon filter module designed as an add-on for the Active Ventilation for CoreOne system.
It allows the use of granulated activated carbon to reduce odors and VOCs in the airflow while keeping the design simple, serviceable, and safe for long-term DIY use.
The filter works as a layered system.
First, the lower chamber (Part One) is completely filled with granulated activated carbon pellets.
Next, a fabric curtain / filter cloth is placed directly on top of the carbon. This layer is mandatory — it prevents carbon particles from being sucked into the fan and ensures stable airflow.
Then Part Two is placed onto Part One, the whole assembly is flipped upside down (the parts must be held together by hand), and finally secured together with screws.
Only granulated activated carbon pellets should be used. Powdered carbon is not suitable and may damage the fan.
Assembly requires only two M3 heat-set threaded inserts and two M3 screws. The modular design allows quick and easy carbon replacement without disassembling the entire ventilation system.
This is a DIY solution, not a certified filtration system. Use at your own risk.

Printed with the grid facing the build plate
Minimum 3 perimeters recommended for strength
PETG or ASA recommended; PLA possible but not ideal for long-term use
