Summary
A two-piece snap-on escutcheon for 1/2" copper or PEX pipe (~5/8" / 15.9 mm OD), in three wall-coverage sizes. The two halves clamp around an in-place pipe, so you don't have to remove valves, fittings, or anything downstream — just snap the halves together around the pipe and slide the assembly against the wall.

Each variant ships as a 3MF with both halves arranged together on the build plate, plus a backup STL.
What it fits
1/2" copper (Type L/M): ~15.9 mm OD — snug fit
1/2" PEX: ~15.9 mm OD — snug fit
The cutout is ~16.5 mm diameter (radius 8.25 mm). Not suitable for 1/2" iron or PVC schedule 40 (those are ~21.3 mm OD and need a larger escutcheon)
What's different across the three variants
The interlocking geometry is identical across all three sizes:
Same pipe cutout (r = 8.25 mm)
Same interlock "ears" that mate the two halves together
Same meeting-edge profile
Only the outer flange differs. Each successively larger variant extends the rim further outward, smoothly stretching the original dome profile so it tapers cleanly to the wall surface at the new outer edge. You can swap to a larger size to hide a bigger drywall cutout without changing how the part grips the pipe.
Print recommendations
Orientation: flat side down (the bottom face is already flat in the file; no rotation needed)
Layer height: 0.2 mm works fine; 0.16 mm if you want a smoother dome
Infill: 15–20% is plenty for a non-structural cover
Supports: not needed
Material: PLA is fine for indoor use. PETG if it's near a heat source (radiator, hot water line). ASA for outdoor.
Quantity: each variant is one full escutcheon (top + bottom half). Print both halves together.
Installation
Print both halves of your chosen size
Place one half against the pipe so the cutout cradles it
Press the other half on from the opposite side; the interlocking ears snap together
Slide the assembled escutcheon flush against the wall
If the snap fit is too tight (common with PLA shrinkage), a quick pass with a hobby knife on the interlock ears loosens it. Too loose, scale the model up by 1–2% and reprint.
