Holds a door open with magnets. Design combines 2 printed parts with some stock hardware.

1. 1 printed base piece

2. 1 bolt: threading 1/4-20. Length 1 inch.

   1. This holds the base and ball joint together 

3. 1 ball joint commonly used in camera rigging gear. Should have standard 1/4-20 threading

4. 1 hex nut with 1/4-20 threading

   1. This holds the magnet plate onto the ball joint swivel

5. 1 printed magnet plate

6. 1 or 2 bar magnets. 60mm x 10mm x 3mm

7. 2 Small screws to mount the base to the wall.

8. (Alternative) 2 medium command strips for mounting

9. Superglue to hold magnets to plate

Use 2 magnets if door weight pulls it free. 1 magnet may be plenty if the door is balanced.

After installing let the ball joint get a strong connection to the door with exact alignment, then tighten it into position.

Command strips may work to hold the base to the wall but use 2 and really follow the instructions: clean the wall spot first and let it dry. Hold pressure for 20s to set the glue. Let it cure overnight before using it to catch the door.
