Parametric_MCU_dev_case

This repo contains a parametric FreeCAD model for MCU development boards. The board is selected in a drop-down under VarSet.

Currently the following boards are supported.

• ESP32 NodeMCU Dev Kit C v2

• Xiao nRF52840

• Xiao RP2040

• NodeMCU ESP32-WROOM-32D

• Xiao RP2350

Github, Issue tracking, and Features

Issue tracking is on github. You are welcome to add features, as long as they are disabled by a conditional. New board- or feature requests are also welcome, please use the issue tracker for this.

The following Features are tunable

• Carabiner loop hole is optional, and the diameter controllable.

• The Button Type can be used to remove the holes for button access.

• The Cover Grill attribute adds a layer with the thickness of the first layer to each hole in the grill.

• The Slim parameter reduce the bottom case height to the thickness of the BottomTopThickness.

  • Slim disables carabiner, pin cutouts, and mounting holes.

A special pocket with only a first layer height is placed over LED's.

Printables and Inspiration

The plan is to add several different versions to printables.

This work is inspired by several other works, however the parametric nature and complete re-draw makes this far more than a regular remix...
