I've recently discovered an amazing fs2026 filament storage system and to complete the loop - I needed to feed filament from it to my MK3S+ printer. I've tried 2-3 designs form printables but didn't like any of them that much... so, I thought I can design something of my own and these were my requirements:
maintain the biggest bend radius possible to reduce friction
avoid Bowden tube touching any of the printer parts
provide optimal position to feed printer from either side
avoid interference (if possible ) with the spool mounted on the standard spool mount.
use standard PC4-M6 or PC4-M10 fittings
...and this is version 7 of my design. I print it in PETG-CF (only because I had it loaded) but this is not a structural part, so any plastic will do. There are left and right versions included but you may also try upside-down configuration...
The piece is probably over engineered for what it is, but I value designs that are not just practical but also look appealing and feel nice to the touch, so there you go :-)
Post Processing
I highly recommend chasing threads with a tap if possible... printing threads in this orientation is less than optimal and it may work okay if your printer is well tuned - but Imine is not :-(
