This thing is a protective cage/frame for the control unit of a Truma 4 (and maybe others) campercan heating system.
Mine is positioned such that people kept accidentally turning the switch or heat setting.
This frame hopefully prevents this, while the control remains accessible.
It fits the old, mechanical control - no idea if the fancy modern ones have the same switch size - it´s 80x64mm.
