Generic strimmer head replacement end cap.
Problem: The original wears down such that you can't bump-feed the cutting string any longer, see comparison with a replacement part. But the rest of the strimmer head is fine, just this part wears quickly especially when doing edges around paving.
Solution: Replacement part, with option of additional self sacrificial screws to slow down wear.
Note: Use 100% fill as you need as much strength as you can get. Remove the nut from the old part for use in this part. That should be loose enough when in place to freely move up and down, but I have added a bump stop to prevent it falling out. If it is too tight, use a Dremel and burr to open up every so slightly.
UPDATE: I'm changing the name to "Generic" rather than Florabest because after buying a generic head I realise this will work on other brands. Yours may be compatible. I used the generic head as a template for creating this. My strimmer is a Florabest and my 3D printed end cap has lasted far longer than the original, and continues to last. Especailly for when I'm working around the pavement edges.
