Prints without support. The case is designed for 1/4" diameter x 1/10" thick magnets, which are much stronger than the magnets in the original case (you can hold the lid without the bottom part falling, unlike the original).

Case is NOT backward compatible with the original case.

Holder for 2 and 4 signets is not a carrying case, just a desk organizer.
