90x90 mm Cress Growing Tray with Cutting Template

A simple 90 × 90 mm tray for growing cress and other microgreens indoors. The model includes a matching cutting template for preparing the growing medium.

The setup shown uses:

• Kitchen paper towel

• Large cotton baby pad

• Non-woven gauze/compress

The paper towel and baby pad act as water reservoirs, while the non-woven layer provides support for the roots and sprouts. Other growing media can be used as well.

Print:

• 1 × Growing tray  (or as many as you need, they are stackable)

• 1 × Cutting template

Assembly and Use

1. Fold a sheet of kitchen paper towel twice and use the template to cut a 90 × 90 mm square.

2. Use the same template to cut a 90 × 90 mm piece from a large cotton baby pad.

3. Place the layers into the tray in the order shown in the pictures:

   • Kitchen paper towel

   • Cotton baby pad

   • Non-woven gauze/compress

4. Thoroughly wet all layers and gently press them into place.

5. Evenly distribute the seeds across the surface.

6. Keep the growing medium moist until germination.

7. Once the sprouts have emerged, water every 1–2 days by rinsing the entire tray under running water.

8. Allow excess water to drain and place the tray back.

9. Harvest with scissors when ready to eat. 

Notes

• Do not squeeze the water out after wetting the layers.

• During the first days, seeds may float, so avoid using too much water.

• Watering becomes easier once the roots have developed.

• When watering, rinse both the roots and the leaves.

• Other materials can be used instead of the ones shown.
