I purchased new batteries for my son's 1:16 Rlaarlo buggy, which I found did not fit in the old battery tray. After moving some things around and lifting the shell height, I found that this battery holder I designed fit perfectly where the ESC usually sits. The ESC was moved to the old battery tray, and just kept in place with some double adhesive tape.

Uses the original screws for the ESC mount. Tray dimensions are 85mm x 34.5mm, so any battery close to that should fit unless it has a hard case.
