the latch on my vacuum canister lid broke off, so instead of printing a new lid (and having to deal with air leaking our all over between my layer lines :D ), i modified the design on the original mechanism so i can latch it still. this part replaces the sliding guide that hold the latch. the mechanism won't automatically open the latch with this, but the seal is strong and hasn't failed at all :)

I included a small fret that positions the latch on the lid, and made a small groove on the lid itself for the latch to sit on.

I added a small tab to the design to help open the latch when needed.
