Polymaker made a great dryer but way too loud. I tried to fit maximum size blower to original chassis, but extension is needed to have enough room for connectors. To make full conversion you need:
angle extension for polydryer + 1x M5x16 or 1x M5x20 flat-head screw
some heat resistant filament: PETG, ASA, ABS
24V or 12V 7530 blower fan with 3 pins - 3rd pin is sense pin ( Aliexpress.com or Allegro.cz )
In case you get 12V version of fan you need Step-down DC-DC convertor (Aliexpress.com or Allegro.cz)
connector
Step by step guide:
print your parts - adapter and angle extension (I used 0.2 mm layer height and PETG-CF, 20% infill, tree supports on duct)
change connector on blower fan (and add step-down DC-DC convertor for 12V fan if needed). Original fan is 24V!.
disassemble Polydryer (4 screws on the bottom), remove intake duct (2 screws)
remove heater element (2 screws)
route brown thermocouple wire underneath of heater block
mount heater back to its original position
insert lower studs to lower part
install lower part - pay attention to cable routing - all should be underneath and not in a way of any standoffs
install duct
install blower on lower studs
install top stud on one side
install top part and the last stud
install angle extension bracket and lower part
install PolyDryer top cover
install angle extension top part, secure with M5x16 (20) flat-head screw
Enjoy more silent and yet more powerful drying!
