This speaker is one groovy little man and likes to shimy around on it's 4 tiny hard plastic feet making it hard to keep it in one spot. This stand is designed to not fit the speaker tight but still give the appearance that it is all while dampening vibrations quite a bit. Adding 4 little rubber pads to the bottom also enhances this reduction.
