about a year ago i made myself this wallet but i couldnt find the right size elastic strap and had to trim it down to fit which made it look wore out much sooner. 

Additionally keeping alignment proper until the glue set was troublesome

So now that i'm finally learning cad i gave designing this wallet from scratch myself. I modified the cutout for the straps to be ¾ inch or 20.5mm. the straps i use have a 2mm thickness

to address the alignment issue i put a 3mm hole on the four corners on the inner side that has the cutouts for the straps and 4 2.9mm pegs to go into the hole on the inner side of the part that attatches to the inner half. This ensures proper alignment while you wait for the glue to dry. 

my method of dealing with the straps was cutting 3 straps one for the bottom that goes through to the middle of the cutout with the remaining straps running each side right up to the middie strap but not overlaping.

the outer model should pair with the inner model.
