This container is for a set of cheap (but workable) metric* radius gauges in three ranges :

• 1 - 7mm in 0.25mm increments

  • size 68mm L X 13mm W X 11mm stacked thickness

• 7 - 14.5mm in 0.5mm increments

  • size 80mm L X 20mm W X 8.5mm stacked thickness

• 15 - 25 mm in 0.5mm increments

  • size 80mm L X 20mm W X 9.1mm stacked thickness

*Although my gauges are metric, I also created lids for inch gauges in case someone with a similar set of inch radius gauges would like to use this model.

Pro tip : To "lock" the lid in place, push it down firmly and evenly. To remove the lid easily, pinch one cornerto pop it loos.

Print Instructions

Print in PETG using the 3mf files provided, otherwise :

• 0.2mm layer height

• 2 perimeters

• 15% grid infill

Note - I prepared the Lid files in three versions as follows :

• Plain version with no text  (NoText)

• Version with inset text (Text)

• Version with text in multiple colors (Colors)*

  • This version uses filament switching with three filaments:

    • The first filament layer must be transparent

    • First color change : The second filament color is a light color (I used yellow)

    • Second color change : The third filament color is a dark filament (I used black)

    • Third and final color change : The second filament color again (yellow in my case)

*  This method uses a complete transparent first layer (no text) to server a base for the subsequent text. This provides good adhesion for all letter parts, while of course still allowing the text to be visible.
