I broke one of the half shafts on my Ryobi Uproar. After contacting the company, they don't sell just the half shafts. You have to buy the entire corner which costs 1/4 of the price of the remote control anyway. I tried measuring and finding some replacements based on size, but in the end it was just a waste of money and I decided to spend some time creating and printing some.
Rather than the stock ones that only have 2 sheer points, I made these with 4 to give it a little extra strength. As well, I increased the size of the shafts to give it more strength (I found they were breaking off too easy when they were stock size)
These will accept the stock ball swivel joint, and they are perfect length to still have a little bit of play in the suspension without bottoming out.
I designed them in OpenSCAD and I'm including the files I used as well. I'm still fairly new to both OpenSCAD and 3D Printing, so I'm sure some improvement could be made. But overall I'm happy with the results.
