Helpful to prevent the spool to fall, and also when you are printing with a short piece of filament without a spool (see pics attached).

I recommend you to print it with 100% infill, since it adds just a little in time and material but delivers a solid part with good mechanical properties.

Should work with any most materials; I've printed with PLA, and it works just fine using basic Cura standard profile:

I've made 3 walls and 3 bottom/top layers, and the infill I did 100% (it changes a little in printing time and material used, and will give you better mechanical strenght).
